I founded the Mysterious Writ in 2001 a few days before the WTC went down in a heap of rubble. Hmmm? My timing is legendary and hasn’t improved much. How did all this happen? The group that is— Spite. In early 01’ I was unemployed, and sought out a counselor through a career center— it went belly up shortly after I left— Hmmm? Moving on, the counselor basically blew a helping of smoke out of his lower orifice and said while making a hasty exit that I should join a writers' group. The heck with him, I started my own! And I’m very glad I did. The results and the people have been great. My own writing has grown and it wouldn’t have gotten here if it wasn’t for these folks who signed up with me on this voyage. This group was one of my better blunders.

Too, this website is my attempt to reach out to others struggling with the craft, and specifically the mystery genre. Hopefully, it prove itself an aid to someone. And just a note, every error you see on the site is mine. I created it. None of the other members can be blamed for the content or condition of these pages.

In late 08' I left the group needing to reassess my creative process, and take care of other life related business. I'm still writing, and am very happy the group remains active and functioning as a tool for its members' success.

My work in the group focused on my Barbary Coast Mysteries Series. Mysteries and suspense novels set in the San Francisco during the Gold Rush. I’ve completed numerous short stories and two small novellas for the series.
